Client Trust Ethics CLE Presentation Receives 5-Stars

On August 16, 2017, Francine Tone presented her California State Bar Approved Ethics Continuing Education Course "Keeping Client Trust Even When Things Go Wrong" to the El Dorado County Bar Association.

CLE Presentation August 16, 2017

Before approximately 30 lawyers, she covered the Rules of Professional Responsibility which set out the minimum attorney conduct relating to client communications. She explained that meeting these minimum requirements was insufficient to deal with clients who become angry, frustrated and anxious when events did not unfold the way a client desired or expected. She further explained that when clients did experience such anger and frustration, often the client's reaction resulted in a stripping away, slowly but surely, the trust that an attorney had built with that client. Eventually clients become unhappy even when the attorney did everything he/she could to properly represent the client. To prevent that trust from eroding, Francine offered a solution and described a thorough "Advanced Warning System" that heads off the problems before they arise. She offered different implementation strategies that attorneys could employ. The program was well received with 5-Star reviews.
